Abstract Introduction Asthma is one of the leading respiratory illnesses in United States. African Americans/Blacks are particularly vulnerable to long-term effects this condition. In addition general healthcare inequities, may also have an increased vulnerability deleterious asthma enact on health behaviors such as sleep. Comparison between races for how much affects sleep would be useful address these vulnerabilities. Methods Analysis was performed 2020 National Health Interview Survey, most recently collected data (n=31,568.) The sample stratified include only asthmatics using survey variable that asked “Have you ever been diagnosed with asthma?” 8.6% reported having (n=2123). Adjusted binary logistic regression determine race predicts population. Covariates included age, sex, education, household income, and physical activity. “Healthy Sleep” coded self-reported 7-8 hours sleep, “Unhealthy either less than 6 or more 9 hours, literature establishes short long health. “Race” White, Black, American Indian/Alaskan, Asian. regression, White used reference category. Results adjusted model predicting healthy African-Americans/Blacks showed significance compared other races. Blacks who asthmatic 54% (p<.01) likely per day.
